The Prone Face Plus and the associated Prone Head System Plus helmet system is the ideal solution for safe and reliable head positioning in the prone position. The clever combination of a reusable helmet system and a disposable cushion is perfectly matched to each other and takes into account all the needs of abdominal positioning. The mirror on the underside provides an optimal view of the patient’s eyes and face. The non-slip underside provides a perfect hold. The helmet can be adjusted in height with four screws and is easy to clean. The disposable cushion Prone Face Plus fits perfectly into the Prone Head System and other common helmet systems and can be easily and quickly disposed of after use.

We offer different combinations of reusable helmet systems and disposable head shells. The Prone Head Head Support System (combination of Prone Face and Prone Head System) has a connecting bridge in the nose area and an opening in the chin area so that the tube can be guided either laterally or downwards. With the Prone Head Plus head positioning system (combination of Prone Face Plus and Prone Head System Plus) the chin area is closed, and the nose area is free.

Pressure Distribution

The following simulations were performed with a 10 kg face on the Prone Face Plus and an alternative cushion available on the market. The increased forehead and cheekbone support distributes the pressure on the face more evenly over the three main contact surfaces.
